Did you know that a single, unassuming rock in this museum contains stardust older than our entire solar system? Tucked away in Frýdek-Místek, the Muzeum meteoritů is a wonderfully intimate space that feels like a treasure chest for the cosmos. You can actually touch several of the exhibits, feeling the surreal heft of a real iron meteorite in your palm. It’s a place that makes the vastness of space feel incredibly personal and tangible.
Collection Highlights
Highlights include a massive 21-kilogram specimen of the Sikhote-Alin iron meteorite and rare Martian and Lunar meteorites, displayed so you can get a really close look at their unique textures.

It's located at Hlavní tř. 106, easy to find on the main street. Given its smaller size, it's perfect for a fascinating hour or two of cosmic exploration.
