Hot Spring Colonnade
About This Museum
People don't just come to the Hot Spring Colonnade to look; they come to experience the town's legendary waters right at the source. You can't miss the main event: the geyser of the Vřídlo spring shooting steaming hot water high into the air inside the building. It’s a surreal, multi-sensory place where you can see the raw power of the earth, sip cooled mineral water that’s supposedly good for you, and even take a proper thermal bath. The whole place hums with a unique energy that’s both ancient and wonderfully alive.
Collection Highlights
The star is undoubtedly the Vřídlo geyser, erupting up to 12 meters high right before your eyes. You can also taste its water from decorative porcelain taps or, for the truly brave, book a soak in the historic baths downstairs.
Visitor Information
It's centrally located on Divadelní náměstí, so you'll likely stumble upon it while strolling. Definitely try the drinking water—it's a rite of passage, though the strong sulfur taste is definitely an acquired one!
Architecture & Building
A striking, functionalist concrete colonnade from the communist era—it's not ornate like the others in town, but its bold, modern lines make a powerful statement.
