The Siege Museum
About This Museum
You won't find another place quite like this; it's entirely dedicated to telling the raw, human story of the 1689 Siege of Derry. Stepping inside feels like entering a different century, where you can almost hear the echoes of that epic 105-day standoff. The exhibits don't just show you dates and maps—they immerse you in the personal accounts and sheer desperation of the people who lived through it. It’s a small museum, but it packs a powerful emotional punch that really sticks with you long after you've left.

Look for the original shutters pockmarked with musket ball holes—it's a chilling, tangible piece of history. They also have an incredible collection of artifacts from the period, including ceremonial weapons and the historic flags and regalia of the Apprentice Boys.
