About This Museum

Tucked away in the heart of the Midlands, right in the old Wordsley Flint Glassworks, this place is a total gem. I had no idea the Stourbridge area was such a powerhouse for glassmaking! You can really feel the history in the air, surrounded by all these incredible pieces that range from delicate Victorian scent bottles to massive, vibrant modern sculptures. It’s not just looking at glass either—watching a live demonstration completely changes how you see the skill involved.

Collection Highlights

The 'Hall of Fame' for master glassmakers is fascinating, and seeing a genuine 'crown jewel' decanter up close was a highlight. Don't miss the intricate cameo glass pieces; the level of detail is mind-blowing.

Visitor Information

It's super easy to find with plenty of parking. Definitely check their website before you go to catch one of the glassblowing demos—they make the whole experience come alive.

Architecture & Building

The museum is housed in the original, red-brick buildings of an old glassworks, so it has this wonderful, authentic industrial feel with high ceilings and big windows.
