About This Museum

Tucked away in the old Station House, just a stone's throw from the Camel Trail, our little museum is a real treasure trove of Padstow's past. You won't find grand, echoing halls here; instead, it's a cozy space packed with the stories and objects that have shaped this town, from its bustling port to its tight-knit communities. It’s the kind of place where you can easily lose an hour chatting with our volunteers and discovering something new about the 'Obby 'Oss or a long-forgotten shipwreck. We've gathered it all to share the true character of Padstow, far beyond the pasties and summer crowds.

Collection Highlights

Look for the intricate model of the old Padstow railway, which really brings to life how people and goods used to arrive. There's also a fascinating display on the infamous 'Obby 'Oss festival, with old photographs and regalia that tell its deep-rooted story. Don't miss the cabinet dedicated to the shipwrecks off our treacherous Doom Bar sandbank—it’s a sobering reminder of the power of the sea.

Visitor Information

We're run by enthusiastic local volunteers, so our opening hours can be seasonal; it's always best to pop by in the afternoon or check for a notice on the door. A small donation is greatly appreciated to help us keep preserving these stories for everyone.

Architecture & Building

Housed in the original Victorian Station House, it's a charming stone building that once served passengers arriving by train. You can still feel that old-world travel charm when you step inside.
