Leamington Spa Art Gallery & Museum

About This Museum

I stumbled upon this absolute gem tucked away in the Royal Pump Rooms, the very building where Regency-era socialites once 'took the waters'. It's a wonderfully quirky mix of things – you'll turn a corner from elegant 19th-century paintings and find yourself face-to-face with the town's original spa baths. The whole place has this lovely, relaxed feel, like you're uncovering layers of local history rather than just walking through a sterile gallery. It perfectly captures the charm of Leamington's heyday as a fashionable spa resort.

Collection Highlights

You can't miss the recreated Victorian Turkish Baths and the actual spring where the famous saline water still flows. I was also really taken by their collection of fine English ceramics and the paintings that show just how grand this town looked in its 19th-century prime.

Visitor Information

It's right on The Parade, sharing a building with the town library, so it's incredibly easy to find. Best of all? It's completely free to pop in and explore.

Architecture & Building

The building itself is a beautiful example of Regency architecture, all grand and symmetrical with large windows, which makes perfect sense given its original purpose as a fashionable spa and social hub.
