About This Museum
Forget everything you think you know about art galleries. Frameless isn't a place where you just look at paintings on a wall; it's a place where you step directly inside them. I spent an hour literally walking through Van Gogh's starry night and dodging the geometric shapes of Kandinsky as they floated around the room. The music swells and changes with your movement, making you feel like you're part of the masterpiece itself. It’s less of a museum visit and more of a full-body, mind-bending journey through colour and sound.
Collection Highlights
You'll wander through four distinct galleries, each with its own magic: get lost in the swirling, dreamlike world of 'Beyond Reality' with Dali and Arcimboldo, or feel the raw emotion in 'Colour in Motion' as Van Gogh's brushstrokes dance across the floor and ceiling. My personal favourite was 'The World Around Us', where Monet's water lilies ripple under your feet.
Visitor Information
It's brilliantly located near Marble Arch tube station, so it's super easy to get to. Book online in advance for a specific time slot – it gets busy, especially on weekends. And trust me, you'll want to give yourself a solid 90 minutes to fully experience all four rooms without rushing.
Architecture & Building
Housed in a modern, nondescript building near Marble Arch, the real architecture is all on the inside. The space is essentially a series of vast, dark, high-ceilinged rooms that act as blank canvases for the epic digital projections.
