Tucked away in the Cheshire countryside, just outside Crewe, you'll find a real gem of social and religious history. This isn't your typical grand museum; it's the very chapel where the fiery Primitive Methodist movement took root in the early 19th century. Collection Highlights
Don't miss the colourful 'Rockingham' teapot carried by a travelling preacher, or the incredibly detailed minute books filled with beautiful copperplate handwriting. One of the most moving exhibits is a simple mahogany preaching desk, worn smooth by generations of speakers who championed the rights of ordinary folk.
