People come here for the famous Pre-Raphaelite paintings, but you end up discovering so much more. I was completely captivated by the Staffordshire Hoard, just a breathtaking glow of Anglo-Saxon gold and garnets in a dark room. The whole place feels grand and historic, yet surprisingly welcoming. It’s one of those museums where you can easily lose an entire afternoon wandering from ancient history to incredible art.
