Aerospace Bristol
About This Museum
Tucked away in an industrial corner of Bristol, this place is a total surprise. You walk through massive hangars that feel frozen in time, telling the story of British aviation from the very beginning. The sheer scale of it hits you first, with everything from early biplanes suspended from the ceiling to massive modern engines. And then, at the end of the journey, you find yourself face-to-face with the star of the show.
Collection Highlights
Without a doubt, it's getting to actually walk underneath and then inside Concorde Alpha Foxtrot, the very last one ever to fly. It's not just about her, though; you can also see a full-scale replica of the Bristol Boxkite and learn about the city's huge role in building planes for two world wars.
Visitor Information
It's easy to spend a whole day here, so wear comfy shoes. Booking online ahead of your visit is a good idea, especially if you want to guarantee a spot on the popular Concorde tour.
Architecture & Building
The museum is cleverly set inside original, vast aircraft hangars with classic arched roofs, which makes you feel like you've stepped right onto a historic airfield.
