Te Awamutu Space Centre
About This Museum
People come to the Te Awamutu Space Centre not just to see space stuff, but to truly feel a connection to the cosmos. It's a surprisingly personal place where you can stand right next to a real Soyuz spacecraft capsule and touch a piece of the Moon. The energy in the main gallery is incredible, filled with authentic artifacts from human spaceflight that tell stories of incredible journeys. You leave feeling strangely inspired, reminded that the universe is vast and that exploration is a very human endeavor.
