Sapporo Beer Museum
About This Museum
You'd never guess this stately red-brick building started life as a sugar factory back in the Meiji era before it became the heart of Japan's beer brewing legacy. Walking through, you're surrounded by towering copper kettles and vintage posters that tell the story of how a German brewer helped launch the iconic Sapporo brand. The air has this faint, pleasant smell of malt and old wood, which just adds to the whole experience. Best of all? Getting in won't cost you a single yen.
Collection Highlights
Massive copper brewing kettles gleaming under the lights, walls covered in beautiful retro advertising art from different decades, and exhibits explaining the entire brewing process from hop to bottle.
