Collection Highlights
Don't miss the stunning gold earrings excavated from Sinchon-ri, which glitter with evidence of ancient trade and wealth. The exhibits on the haenyeo, Jeju's legendary free-diving women, are equally compelling, sharing their hard-won history through personal tools and powerful photographs. You'll also come face-to-face with massive stone 'harubang' statues, the iconic grandfather figures who silently guard the island's spirit.
Visitor Information
It's easy to spend a half-day here, and since it's just a short taxi ride from downtown Jeju City, it makes for a perfect cultural escape from the beach. Best of all, general admission is completely free, though some special exhibitions might have a separate ticket.
