Jeju Aerospace Museum
About This Museum
People come to the Jeju Aerospace Museum not just for a day out, but to feel that incredible rush of standing beneath a real rocket or walking into the shadow of a massive passenger jet. It’s a place where you can trace the entire human journey from our first tentative flights to touching the edge of the cosmos. Kids are always mesmerized by the full-scale fighter planes hanging from the ceiling, and you can't help but be humbled by the sheer ambition of the space exploration hall. You leave with your head in the clouds and a real sense of wonder at what we've achieved.
Collection Highlights
The star of the show is often the towering KSLV-1 rocket model outside, while inside, you can get up close to a full-size F-5 fighter jet and even step into a replica of NASA's Mission Control.
Visitor Information
It's out in Seogwipo's beautiful countryside, so having a car is easiest, but don't worry about lunch—the on-site cafeteria is surprisingly good and a perfect pit stop between exhibits.
Architecture & Building
The main building has this fantastic, modern swoop to its roof that almost makes it look like a giant aircraft wing settled onto the landscape.
