About This Museum
Tucked away in the heart of Ras Al Khaimah's Old Town, this place feels more like a guardian of memory than a formal institution. It quietly holds the layers of our emirate's long story, from ancient coastal settlements to the era of the Qawasim. Stepping inside, you leave the modern city behind and enter a space that hums with a quiet reverence for the past. It’s where you can truly feel the weight and whisper of centuries.
Collection Highlights
You'll find beautifully preserved pearl diving weights and delicate pottery that speak to our maritime heritage. One of the most striking exhibits is a traditional barasti house, its frond walls reconstructed right inside the museum. Don't miss the intricate silver jewelry and weaponry that tell tales of daily life and tribal identity.
