About This Museum

Vivere la Storia isn't your typical museum; it feels more like stepping right into the living rooms and workshops of old Verona. We're tucked away on Via Cason, a bit off the main tourist trail, which makes finding us feel like discovering a local secret. The heart of this place is its collection of everyday objects that tell the real stories of the city's past century. It’s less about grand kings and more about the lives of our nonni.

Collection Highlights

You'll find a beautifully preserved 1950s Vespa that still smells faintly of oil and leather, a complete artisan's cobbling bench with all its original tools, and a touching collection of handwritten letters sent home from the front during the war. My personal favorite is the recreated corner grocery shop, or 'bottega,' stocked with original tins and packages.

Visitor Information

We're a small spot, so you don't need more than an hour. Just ring the bell if the door is closed—someone is almost always here. It’s the kind of place where you can chat with the caretaker and leave feeling like you've made a new friend.

Architecture & Building

The museum is housed in a charming, weathered ochre building that was once a neighborhood stable and storage space, with its original large wooden doors and terracotta tile floors still intact.
