Believe it or not, this grand sugar estate home was once nearly lost to a fire. Today, Sunbury stands as the only great house on Barbados with all its rooms open for you to explore, each one meticulously restored and filled with the whispers of the 17th century. You can wander through the grand mahogany-paneled drawing room, peek into the old kitchen with its massive hearth, and feel the history come alive. Afterward, the beautiful landscaped gardens provide a peaceful spot to reflect on all you've seen.
