Each of the nine individual churches under those famous onion domes holds a different piece of the story.
Collection Highlights
You can stand beneath the original, massive iconostasis in the Church of St. Basil the Blessed or get up close to 16th-century liturgical textiles, their gold thread still gleaming. The real treasure, though, is the building itself—the worn stone steps and ancient frescoes feel like a direct line to Ivan the Terrible's reign.
