Ovidio Granados
About This Museum
Tucked away in the Los Caciques neighborhood, the Museo Ovidio Granados feels less like a formal institution and more like stepping into the living room of Valledupar's collective memory. It’s the kind of place where you can almost hear the old accordions and the whispers of cattle drives from the dusty plains. The collection is deeply personal, pieced together from a lifetime of dedication to preserving our local way of life. You leave feeling like you've had a long, fascinating chat with an old friend about the real Cesar.
Collection Highlights
You'll find beautifully worn vaquero saddles and tools that tell the story of our cattle-ranching heritage, right next to vintage photographs of legendary vallenato composers. One of the most touching exhibits is a display of old radios; you can just imagine entire families gathered around them to hear the first broadcasts of their favorite songs.
Visitor Information
It's on Dg. 20a in Los Caciques, so it's easy to find once you're in the area. Since it's a smaller, more intimate spot, it never feels crowded, giving you all the time you need to soak everything in.

Housed in a modest, unassuming residential-style building that blends right into the neighborhood, it has a welcoming, homespun charm that perfectly matches its folksy treasures inside.
