The main collection isn't housed in a building but is the terrain itself—Austro-Hungarian fortifications, caverns carved into the mountainside, and a sprawling network of trenches. Visitor Information
Wear good shoes, as you'll be doing a fair bit of walking on uneven paths to explore everything. It's completely self-guided, so you can wander at your own pace and let the powerful atmosphere of the place sink in. The views over Bovec and the surrounding Julian Alps from up here are absolutely stunning, making it a worthwhile trip for the scenery alone.
