About This Museum

People come here not just for the history, but to feel what it was like when this place was the pulsing heart of Misiones, with steam engines chuffing in and out. It's a small museum, so you can really take your time and soak in the atmosphere without feeling rushed. You'll find old ticket windows, heavy metal signal arms, and even a restored locomotive that feels like it could roar to life any second. The whole place has this wonderfully faded charm that makes you want to linger.

Collection Highlights

The star of the show is definitely the massive, black steam engine parked right out front—it's incredible to see up close. Inside, don't miss the collection of antique telegraph machines and the beautifully preserved station master's office, which looks frozen in time.

Visitor Information

It's easy to find right in Garupa, and since it's fairly compact, you can see everything in a relaxed hour or so. Just check their opening hours online before you go, as they can be a bit flexible.

Architecture & Building

The building itself is a classic example of early 20th-century railway architecture, with its red-tiled roof, creamy yellow walls, and a long welcoming porch that just begs for a photo.
