Tucked away in the rolling hills of Dietzhölztal, the National Auto Museum feels less like a sterile gallery and more like a time capsule. I was completely transported by the Loh Collection, a breathtaking assembly of over a hundred vehicles that trace the very soul of automotive history. The air is thick with the scent of aged leather and polished chrome, a quiet reverence broken only by the soft footsteps of fellow enthusiasts. Collection Highlights
You can't miss the impossibly elegant Mercedes-Benz 540K, its sweeping fenders looking ready for a grand prix. Just around the corner sits a starkly beautiful Bugatti Type 57, its engine bay a masterpiece in itself. The collection brilliantly contrasts these pre-war legends with quirky microcars from the 1950s and a stunning array of pristine Italian sports cars.
Visitor Information
It's easy to find on Museumsstraße 1, but it does have limited opening hours, so definitely check their website before you make the trip. The staff are incredibly knowledgeable and clearly passionate, adding so much to the experience.
