Hey from Vladivostok! I'm down by the port and just stumbled upon this wild little spot, the Museum of Trepang in the Biotik Lux building. It's a completely unexpected dive into the world of sea cucumbers, which are a much bigger deal here than I ever imagined. The place is small but packed with fascinating jars and displays that show why these weird creatures are so prized. It’s a quirky, hyper-local experience you definitely won't find back home.
Collection Highlights
You get to see all sorts of trepang specimens preserved in giant jars, learn about the ancient art of harvesting them, and even check out some modern health products derived from them.

It's at 66A Verkhneportovaya Street, right near the water. Seems like a smaller operation, so it might be wise to check if they're open before you head over.
