You'd never guess that one of Albania's most fascinating collections of sacred art is tucked away in a rather unassuming building just off Shkodër's main square. Step inside, however, and you're immediately struck by the serene atmosphere and the sheer weight of history. The museum feels less like a formal institution and more like a carefully preserved treasure chest for the region. I found myself completely absorbed by the intricate metalwork and stunning textiles that tell a centuries-old story of faith and craftsmanship.

The real showstoppers are the gorgeously illuminated manuscripts and a stunning array of silver filigree crosses. Don't miss the collection of vintage clerical vestments, their rich embroidery and colors still vibrant after all these years.
