Collection Highlights
You'll come face-to-face with heavy, intricately carved stećak tombstones that stand as silent sentinels from the past. I was captivated by the delicate filigree of medieval jewelry and the imposing weight of original weaponry, including swords that surely saw battle. One room beautifully reconstructs the regalia of Bosnian rulers, making it easy to imagine the court life that once thrived here.
Visitor Information
Wear comfortable shoes because exploring the castle ramparts after seeing the exhibits is a must—the views of the river valley are absolutely breathtaking. It's a bit off the main tourist trail, so you might just have whole sections of this historic fortress all to yourself.

The museum is housed within Ostrožac Castle, a stunning mix of medieval fortification and later Ottoman-era additions, all built from rugged local stone that seems to grow straight out of the cliffside.
