About This Museum
Folks usually wander into our little museum out of sheer curiosity, wondering how a slice of Russia ended up in the middle of a Baja California farming valley. It all started with the Molokan families, a pacifist Christian sect who fled here in the early 1900s seeking religious freedom, and this place is their story. You'll find everything from beautifully preserved traditional dresses and samovars to old farming tools and sepia-toned family portraits that speak volumes. Stepping inside feels less like visiting a museum and more like being welcomed into a grandmother's front room, filled with heirlooms and memories.
Collection Highlights
Look for the vibrant 'sarafan' folk dresses and the intricate 'kokoshnik' headdresses, which are stunning. The centerpiece for many is the collection of handwritten hymnals and Bibles in Old Russian, carried across the world.

It's right on Calle Principal in Francisco Zarco—you can't miss it. Just ring the bell if the door is closed; someone from the community will gladly let you in.
