You'd never guess this grand manor was once nearly demolished to make way for a department store. Today, the Kos Manor stands as the proud heart of Jesenice, its pale yellow facade watching over the town's main artery. Stepping inside is like walking into the living memory of the Gorenjska region, where each room tells a different story. It’s less a sterile museum and more a conversation with the past, filled with the tools, photographs, and personal effects of the people who built this industrial town.
Collection Highlights
Don't miss the meticulously recreated blacksmith's forge, a nod to Jesenice's ironworking soul, or the poignant collection from the Iskra factory that showcases a more recent industrial chapter. Upstairs, you'll find intimate domestic spaces frozen in time, complete with traditional folk costumes and beautifully carved furniture.
