The whole place feels like stepping into the private library of a delightfully eccentric collector who just had to save every last forgotten paperback. You can't help but smile at the sheer passion on display for stories that were never meant to be high art.

The real charm is in the details: rows of tiny, cloth-bound 'Groschenhefte' with their dramatic cover art, faded love letters tucked inside some of the books, and an entire section devoted to the overwrought tales from a publisher called 'Blumen der Romantik'.
