Tucked away in a quieter part of the medina, the House of Photography is this incredible little find. You step inside and are immediately transported through time by these stunning black and white images of Morocco from the late 19th and early 20th centuries. It's not just a gallery; it feels like walking through a visual diary of the country's soul, capturing everything from Atlas Mountain villages to bustling souk life. The rotating exhibitions keep things fresh, so there's always something new to discover on a repeat visit.

The permanent collection is anchored by hauntingly beautiful portraits of Berber women and sweeping landscapes that show a Morocco before mass tourism. I was completely captivated by the vintage cameras and equipment on display—they're works of art themselves.

It's super easy to spend a couple of hours here, especially since the rooftop cafe has arguably one of the best views of the Marrakech skyline. Definitely worth combining a trip here with a visit to the nearby Musée de l'Art de Vivre for a perfect cultural afternoon.
