You won't find many museums like this one—it's the actual home where the famous WWII tank commander, Hazi Aslanov, was born and raised. Walking through the modest rooms feels incredibly personal, almost like stepping back in time to meet the man himself. The walls are covered with old photographs and documents that trace his journey from a boy in Lankaran to a celebrated Major General. It’s a small, intimate space that tells a huge story of local heroism.
Collection Highlights
I was really struck by his detailed battle maps and personal letters, which gave me goosebumps. They've even preserved some of his original uniforms and ceremonial daggers. One of the most powerful things is seeing the humble, traditional furnishings of his family home, which creates such a stark contrast to his military achievements.
