Galle Fort Clock Tower

Would you believe this whole clock tower was built on top of an old guard room? It's this striking, pale stone structure that anchors the entrance to the fort, with its huge, black-and-white clock face looking out over the ramparts. It’s not a large museum inside, but standing next to it gives you such a tangible connection to the Galle of old.
Collection Highlights
The main event is the tower itself and its massive, still-functioning clock mechanism from 1883; it also features historical plaques detailing the fort's history and offers incredible panoramic views of the Indian Ocean from its base.
