Collection Highlights
The tour brilliantly connects three eras: you'll see the rough stone footings of the original Roman fort, Traiectum, then stand in the shadow of the massive foundation of a medieval church built right on top of it. One of the most powerful moments is seeing a single, preserved wooden pile from that 8th-century church, silently holding up history.
