People often stop here on their way into Corbett, drawn by the old stone gate that stands as a quiet sentinel to the park's history. Inside, the air is cool and carries the faint, pleasant smell of old wood and paper. You'll find more than just tiger tales; there are black-and-white photographs of the first British hunters turned conservationists, and maps that show how the land was carved into this sanctuary. It’s a small, unassuming place that somehow manages to hold the entire spirit of the park within its walls.
Collection Highlights
Look for the vintage forestry tools and the beautifully mounted butterfly collection. The real highlight for many is learning about Jim Corbett himself, with displays on his life and his legendary hunts for man-eating tigers.
Visitor Information
It's right on the main road, so you can't miss it when entering from the Dhangarhi side. Pop in for a half-hour to break up your journey; there's a small shop where you can pick up a book or a postcard.

A simple, two-story stone structure with a classic colonial-era feel, topped with a sloped roof. The namesake gate itself is made of heavy, weathered stone and looks like it has stories to tell.
