Walking into Choeung Ek, you're immediately struck by the quiet. The center of it all is the haunting memorial stupa, a multi-tiered structure that holds the physical evidence of what happened here. Collection Highlights
The main exhibit is the memorial stupa itself, its glass walls filled with tier upon tier of human skulls, many showing the brutal trauma that ended lives. Across the grounds, you'll find marked pits where mass graves were exhumated, and simple signs tell heartbreaking stories of the victims discovered there.
Visitor Information
It's a good idea to go with a guide if you can; their personal stories and context make the history feel much more immediate and real. Wear comfortable shoes for walking the dirt paths, and be prepared for an emotionally heavy day.

The main structure is a traditional Buddhist stupa, but it's been adapted into a memorial with tall, glass sides that allow visitors to see directly inside to the contents.
