Cathedral of Saint Ursus
About This Museum
Tucked away on a charming cobblestone lane in Solothurn's old town, the Cathedral of Saint Ursus is an absolute stunner that completely dominates the skyline. You walk in and are immediately struck by the sheer scale and the beautiful, soft light filtering through the windows. It feels incredibly peaceful and grand at the same time. I spent ages just looking up at all the intricate details on the ceiling and the majestic organ.
Collection Highlights
Don't miss the ornately carved choir stalls and the historic crypt below the main altar. The collection of sacred art and relics connected to St. Ursus and St. Victor is also fascinating.

It's a gorgeous example of late Baroque and early Neoclassical architecture, with those two iconic towers and a beautifully proportioned green copper dome.
