Casa de las Ciencias
About This Museum
Would you believe this place was once a bustling municipal warehouse for over seventy years? These old walls, which used to echo with the clatter of goods and barrels, now ring with the excited chatter of children discovering the stars. It’s a wonderful transformation from a purely practical space to one that sparks pure imagination. Today, it’s the city's beloved house of science, a place where curiosity is always welcome.
Collection Highlights
You can't miss the Foucault Pendulum in the main hall, gracefully swinging to prove the Earth's rotation. Upstairs, kids crowd around hands-on exhibits that let them create giant bubbles or generate their own electricity. And tucked away in the planetarium, you can take a breathtaking journey through the cosmos without ever leaving Logroño.
Visitor Information
It's right there on Calle del Ebro, just a stone's throw from the Ebro River—you really can't miss the grand old building. Best part? Entry is completely free, so you can pop in for a quick look or spend a whole afternoon tinkering.
Architecture & Building
It's a fine example of early 20th-century industrial architecture, built from solid stone and brick with those tall, distinctive windows designed to flood the workspace with light.
