Värska Farm Museum
About This Museum
People come to Värska not just for the famous spa and serene Lake Peipus, but to find the living, breathing heart of the Seto culture, which you'll discover here at this wonderful open-air farm. It's not a stuffy collection of artifacts behind glass; it's a fully furnished, 19th-century farmstead where you can almost hear the family who once lived here. I spent a good twenty minutes just marveling at the massive, tiled stove in the main house and imagining winter nights in this cozy space. Wandering between the weathered timber barns and storehouses, with the scent of old wood in the air, feels like stepping through a portal in time. It’s an incredibly peaceful and immersive experience that gives you a true sense of place.
