Folks come out to Keyport for all sorts of reasons—some for the deep naval history, others just to see a real submarine up close. You can't miss the massive sail of the USS Sturgeon right outside, a silent sentinel from the Cold War. Inside, it's a treasure trove of undersea tech, from the elegant hell of a WWII-era deep-sea diving suit to the sleek menace of modern torpedoes. Most leave with a quiet respect for the sheer ingenuity and courage it takes to operate beneath the waves.
Collection Highlights
The star is undoubtedly the Trieste II's pressure sphere, a tiny window into the abyss. You can also walk right up to Mark 14 and Mark 48 torpedoes and get a feel for their formidable size.

It's tucked away on Garnett Way in Keyport, right on the waterfront—easy to find and free to visit, though donations are always appreciated.
