About This Museum
People don't just come here to see old cars; they come for a piece of Turkish pride, the incredible story of the 'Devrim' (Revolution) car. In 1961, a small team of Turkish engineers was given a seemingly impossible task: to build a completely domestic car from scratch in just 130 days. And they did it. Walking through this museum feels less like a standard exhibit and more like stepping onto the factory floor where that national dream became, however briefly, a roaring reality. It’s a powerful testament to sheer will and ingenuity.
Collection Highlights
The absolute star is Car No. 2, one of the four original Devrim sedans, sitting proudly on display as if it just rolled off the line. You can get up close to its elegant, entirely Turkish-designed body and even see the very engine lathe used to create its parts. The atmosphere is completed with black-and-white photos and tools scattered about, perfectly preserving the urgency and passion of that historic project.
