The Neon Museum Las Vegas
About This Museum
People come here for a totally different kind of Vegas story, one told through the giant, glittering signs that once defined the Strip and downtown. You're walking through this surreal 'boneyard' of retired icons, from the sharp cursive of the Stardust to the cheeky wink of a vintage Moulin Rouge showgirl. Our guide was fantastic, sharing these wild backstories about the designers and the casinos that made these signs famous. It's not just a museum; it feels like you've stumbled upon the city's glowing, discarded soul.
Collection Highlights
You'll get up close to the classic La Concha Motel shell, see the towering letters from the Sahara, and even spot Ruben Romero's 'Lili Marlene' head from a wedding chapelβit's a real mix of legendary and quirky.
Visitor Information
Heads up, you have to book a guided tour to get in, and I'd strongly recommend the evening oneβseeing these signs lit up against the dark sky is pure magic. It's all outside, so wear comfy shoes and maybe a jacket if you go when it's cooler.
Architecture & Building
The collection is displayed in an open-air lot right next to the salvaged, space-age curves of the old La Concha Motel lobby, which now serves as the visitor center.
