The Art Museum of Eastern Idaho

About This Museum

I wasn't sure what to expect from an art museum in Eastern Idaho, but this place is a total gem. Tucked away in Idaho Falls, it feels more like a bright, welcoming community hub than a stuffy institution. The energy is fresh and accessible, filled with the kind of contemporary work that makes you stop and think. It’s the perfect spot to spend an afternoon soaking up some local creativity without any pretense.

Collection Highlights

The main galleries were buzzing with a vibrant show featuring emerging artists from across the state—I was particularly struck by a large, textured landscape painting that used layers of resin to capture the Idaho sky. Down another hall, a playful and interactive sculpture made entirely of reclaimed barn wood had both kids and adults completely captivated.
