Sullenberger Aviation Museum
About This Museum
You know you're in for something special when you walk through the doors and the first thing you see is the actual 'Miracle on the Hudson' Airbus A320. It's a breathtaking, humbling sight that sets the tone for the entire experience. The museum is anything but a dusty hangar; it's a vibrant, interactive space that makes aviation history feel immediate and alive. I spent a solid twenty minutes just walking underneath the massive wings of a Douglas DC-3, feeling the sheer scale of these machines. It’s a place that connects you directly to the stories of flight, from daring rescues to routine commercial journeys.
Collection Highlights
The star is undoubtedly the 'Miracle on the Hudson' A320, but don't miss the menacing black F-14 Tomcat or the beautifully restored Piedmont Airlines DC-3. My favorite find was a collection of vintage flight attendant uniforms that told a story all their own.
