Sharlot Hall Museum
About This Museum
Believe it or not, Arizona's first territorial governor only lived in this mansion for a few months before moving on. Today, the Sharlot Hall Museum brings that early pioneer history to life right in the heart of Prescott. You can wander through the beautifully preserved 1864 log cabin, the Governor's Mansion itself, and several other historic buildings moved to the site. It’s far more than a static exhibit; it’s an entire campus dedicated to telling the story of central Arizona.
Collection Highlights
The museum shines a light on Indigenous cultures with a superb collection of Yavapai and Apache baskets, alongside pioneer tools and furnishings that show what life was really like on the frontier. Don't miss the Fremont House, an elegant Victorian home furnished to the period.
