About This Museum
Stepping into the Rubenshuis is like walking right into the 17th century; this was the actual home and studio of the master painter Peter Paul Rubens. You can almost smell the oil paint in the grand, light-filled studio where he created his monumental works. The place isn't just a gallery—it's a time capsule of his life, filled with his personal art collection and period furniture. Wandering from the opulent Italianate portico into the cozy, lived-in family quarters gives you this incredible sense of intimacy with the artist himself.
