You'd never guess that one of the world's northernmost museums started in an old radio station. It’s a place where the past feels immediate, filled with objects still warm with the memory of their makers. You can almost hear the whispers of hunters and seamstresses in the quiet rooms. It’s less a display of artifacts and more a living room for the community's soul.
Collection Highlights
Look for the ingeniously crafted Inughuit sleds, lashed together without nails, and the delicate sealskin clothing stitched with patterns unique to each family. One of the most moving exhibits is a simple pair of kamiks (boots) that have walked hundreds of miles on the sea ice.

Just ask anyone in town for directions; it's a small place and everyone knows it. Pop in when you see someone around—the opening hours can be as flexible as the Arctic light.
