You're guided by an incredible audio tour narrated by the sonorous voice of famed South African actor John Kani, which adds a profound layer of storytelling. The atmosphere is hushed and almost reverent, encouraging quiet contemplation as you trace the paths our ancestors took out of Africa and across the globe.
Collection Highlights
The centerpiece is undoubtedly the collection of San rock art, with its hauntingly beautiful eland and human figures. Don't miss the 'Out of Africa' exhibit, which uses genetic mapping to show how all humans are connected back to this continent.
