Inside, you'll wander through a series of galleries that take you from pre-colonial Cebu with its ancient pottery all the way to the revolutionary heroes of the 19th century. It’s honestly surreal to stand in these old cells, now filled with artifacts instead of inmates, and feel the weight of it all.
Collection Highlights
Don't miss the gallery on Cebu's pre-Hispanic trade or the moving exhibit on the Katipunan revolution. Seeing actual leg irons and learning about the prison's dark past in one of the old cell blocks is a powerful, sobering experience.
