M.S.Ö. Air & Space Museum
About This Museum
People make the trip out to Sivrihisar for one reason: to stand in the shadow of giants. They come to see the aircraft that wrote Turkey's story in the sky, from fragile early biplanes to the sleek F-104 Starfighter that patrolled our borders during the Cold War. It's not just a line of planes on a tarmac; it's where you can run your hand over the weathered fuselage of a C-47 Dakota and imagine it landing on some remote Anatolian airstrip decades ago. You leave with the roar of those old engines echoing in your memory and a real sense of how we reached for the heavens.
Collection Highlights
The stars of the show are undoubtedly the Turkish Air Force jets, including that iconic F-104. But don't miss the humble Piper Cub tucked away in a hangar or the massive C-47 transport plane—it’s the kind of workhorse that truly built modern Turkey.
Visitor Information
It's out in Sivrihisar, so best to drive. Wear comfortable shoes because you'll be doing a lot of walking on the tarmac between the hangars and outdoor displays. The light is fantastic in the late afternoon, perfect for photos.
Architecture & Building
The museum feels authentically functional, set right on the grounds of an old airbase. The main displays are housed in huge, no-nonsense hangars with corrugated steel roofs, while dozens more aircraft are parked outside under the vast Eskişehir sky.
