About This Museum

You'd never guess it from its peaceful vibe now, but Galleon Beach in English Harbour has a past steeped in the rough-and-tumble age of sail. This whole area was once a fortified British naval base, and the ghosts of those 18th-century galleons feel almost tangible. Today, the main exhibits are natural: a stunning crescent of sand fringed by green hills and water so clear you can watch parrotfish nibbling on the reef just steps from shore. The real magic happens when a sea turtle glides past you in the shallows, completely unfazed.

Collection Highlights

The incredible snorkeling right off the beach, frequent sea turtle sightings, and the panoramic views of the historic harbour itself.
