Folklore Museum of Kymi
About This Museum
Tucked away on a quiet street, this place feels more like stepping into a local yiayia's attic than a formal museum. It all started back in the 1960s when a teacher began saving everyday objects from being lost to time. You'll find everything from beautifully carved wooden looms and traditional wedding dresses to old farming tools, each with its own story. The air smells faintly of wood and old textiles, making the past feel incredibly close.
Collection Highlights
Look for the stunningly detailed Kymiot bride's costume with its intricate gold embroidery, and don't miss the recreated weaver's workshop that looks ready for use.
